Ride To Light: The Mishmi Hills Challenge is a charity fundraiser and a cycling tour that takes place every year in the pristinely beautiful and massively bio-diverse state of Arunachal Pradesh!

Ride To Light supports The Batti Project which lights up remote tribal homes in North East India in a sustainable way. The ride takes place during January end to February beginning, and the homes benefited are lit up later in the year.

Both The Batti Project and Ride To Light are facilitated by Further & Beyond Foundation.

  • So far, from two iterations of Ride To Light, we have raised funds for providing sustainable lighting systems to 89 homes.
  • Registrations for Ride To Light 2018: Now open
  • Target amount to be raised for qualification by each rider: Rs. 1,20,000 (Rs. 1.2 lac is the minimum qualifying amount; we hope for each rider to raise more! In addition to the money that will help light up multiple homes, this also covers pick-up and drop from station/airport, food, accommodation, and other basic expenses through the event.)
  • Dates: 25th Jan-4th Feb
  • Trail: Tezu to Anini, Arunachal Pradesh (About 300 Kms)

International riders cannot fundraise for Ride To Light. However, they can still participate by paying a fee. If you don’t have an Indian bank account but still want to participate in Ride To Light, write to us at info@ridetolight.com to know more!
